Western Moose Inc. ("we", "us"), #106-2034 19 Ave, Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0, Canada, operates westernmoose.com and the ViewBox365 online store (viewbox365.com). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites and to our communications by WhatsApp, SMS, email and phone.
What we collect
Contact details you give us (name, phone number, email address, delivery address); order, payment and support records; the content of messages you send us, with timestamps and delivery status; and basic technical data such as IP address and browser type when you visit our sites. We do not collect payment card numbers ourselves; payments are handled by our payment providers.
Why we use it
To process orders and deliveries, provide setup help and customer support, send notices about your orders or account, keep accounting and legal records, prevent fraud and keep our systems secure, and, where you have agreed or the law allows, tell you about our products. We do not sell personal information.
Messaging (WhatsApp, SMS and email)
We use WhatsApp Business (provided by Meta), SMS and email to communicate with customers. We message people who have contacted us or done business with us. Each promotional message includes a way to opt out, and you can reply STOP to any message at any time to stop messages from us. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also processed by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us operate: cloud hosting, payment processors, couriers, and messaging and email providers (including Meta). They may only use the information to provide services to us. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to help draft replies or summarize support requests. People remain responsible for decisions that affect you, and we do not use your personal information to train third-party AI models.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal record-keeping, then delete or anonymize it. We use access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and keep credentials out of code and logs. No system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by contacting us. We handle requests in line with Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA) and Alberta's privacy legislation where it applies.
